The first time Stone saw Winnie, she was alone in the woods with no memory of where she came from.

With one look, he knew something was different. When she finally came lost 4.JPGof age and her mating heat kicked in, he realized that she had always been the one.

Sent to live with a strange family, Winnie was forced to deal with the hateful treatment of her stepmother and stepsisters.

Mating the alpha changed that.

But when her past comesback to find her, will the heat last after the clock strikes midnight?

Warning: This shifter fairy tale is meant to be enjoyed by only those who love this kind of adorable stuff. Think you’ve got what it takes? Then come on in!

The Lost Slipper is author Alexa Riley’s third offering in her terrific Fairy Tale Shape Shifter Series.

A stand-alone novella, The Lost Slipper returns the reader to the shifter community of Gray Ridge, Colorado where Alpha Stone guards his wolf pack with a most serious sense of dedication and responsibility.

When a seemingly orphaned female cub shifter is found in the woods, Alpha Stone brings her to his home for care.  Once she’s shifted back into human form, Alpha Stone realizes that the female, Winnie, is too young to be in his house and under his care. Moreover, he can’t deny the strong pull he feels towards her.  Divided between his feelings for Winnie and his responsibility towards his pack, Alpha Stone delivers the young Winnie to the Stockton household to be raised.

During her four years with the Stocktons, Winnie has suffered at the hands of her step-mother and two-step sisters. (Sound familiar?)  Winnie has become a servant to the whims of her adopted family, and chooses to keep Alpha Stone (as well as everyone else) in the dark about the abuse being heaped upon her. What (thinks the reader) could possibly set Winnie free? Thelost 3.JPG answer is: hormones! Yes, hormones! Winnie finally reaches maturation and with just one sniff, Alpha Stone gives Winnie the bite and claims her as his mate. End of story, yes? No! No?

Winnie has issues about Alpha Stone’s desire for her — is it from his heart, or are his hormones simply answering the call of hers?

Does it really make any difference? Only one way to find out . . . .

While The Lost Slipper is no less steamy than its predecessors, it felt a bit disjointed at times. With Alpha Stone delivering lines like “Give me that sweet honey, Winnie,” it’s difficult not to fall into the Winnie the Pooh universe and completely forget the Cinderella aspect of this story. But this is erotica first and when Alpha Stone and Winnie finally get on the same page, honey, along with other viscous bodily fluids flow in abundance.

Alexa Riley’s alpha shifters are a hot bunch of males, eager to breed their mates. Possessive and loyal, they live to pleasure and serve their females —whether their mates be wolf/bear shifters, or straight-out human. The fairy tale tie-in adds a certain charm and sometimes humorous slant to these tales. These stories are always a treat to read and The Lost Slipper is a tasty addition to the Series. So go ahead and get some honey for yourself!

I wrote my first book, Owning Her Innocence, because well, I just couldn’t find any daddy books to my liking. So I sat down and just started writing, bringing the fantasies I find myself often dancing to in the dark of night to life, one page at a time.

Alexa Riley is my alter ego. I can’t let the other soccer moms know what I’m up to or the guys at work for that matter. Little do they know that they’ve got nothing on my dirty talk.

I’m here to give you a quick fix of filthy dirty smut. Got a few hours to kill? Then I’m what you’re looking for.
